Probably yes, if your child is in grades K–12 and you want a safe, full afternoon with real academic help. Here is everything a parent asks first.

Who can enroll
Students in kindergarten through 12th grade (ages 5–19). Most families live in or near Little Havana, but any Miami-Dade family may inquire.
Hours
Every school day after dismissal until early evening. Full days on most Miami-Dade Public Schools closure days and in summer camp.
Cost
The program is scholarship-supported thanks to The Children’s Trust and donors. Every enrolled family receives a scholarship; ask us about any fees for your family.
What’s included
Homework help, reading tutoring, daily PE, art, music, social-emotional learning, teen programs, daily snack, meals on full days, and family support.
Pickup and transportation
Pickup by a parent or authorized adult at 1374 NW 1st St. Ask us about transportation from nearby schools.
Safety and staff
Bilingual staff, certified teachers and a certified fitness coach. Background-screened adults, sign-in/sign-out, and a supervised campus with its own court.
Health and accommodations
Tell us about allergies, medication or learning needs during enrollment so we can plan with you.

How enrollment works

    A bilingual staff member confirms availability for your child’s grade within 2 business days.

  3. Visit and complete paperwork

    Bring documents to the center, meet the team, and see the space.

  4. First day

    Your child starts. You get the calendar, contacts and pickup details.

Family questions

Do I need papers to start the inquiry?

No. Just your name, phone and your child’s grade. Documents come at the visit step.

My child’s school is not in Little Havana. Can they still come?

Yes, as long as you can get them to the center after school. Ask us which schools we can help with transportation.

Do you accept children with IEPs or special needs?

We welcome every child and will talk honestly about what we can support. Tell us during the inquiry so we can plan together.

Is there a waitlist?

The current status is shown at the top of this page and updated by staff. Right now: enrollment open.

What if I only speak Spanish?

Every staff member you deal with speaks Spanish. Choose “Español” in the form and we will call you in Spanish.
